We feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to show our support and participate in the 32nd Annual Pedal for Kids charity event, which took place on June 8th. As dedicated partners of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, we take great pride in being part of this meaningful initiative.
Pedal for Kids holds a special place in our hearts as one of the most significant fundraising events led by the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. This year, the funds raised will be dedicated to supporting the Interhospital Pediatric Transport Project and the Child Life team. We deeply value and cherish the impact this event has on enhancing pediatric care.
Four pediatric hospitals, located in Quebec, have taken on the initiative on launching the Interhospital Pediatric Specialized Transport Project. The goal of this initiative is to help in being able to transport children deemed as critically ill to hospitals that specialize in pediatrics, equipped with essential equipment and staff best suited to care for their needs.
The Child Life team’s goal it to be able to improve the quality of life for their patients and their given families while also providing a more comfortable and normalized hospital stay. As the only dedicated Child Life team in the province of Quebec, this team helps in providing ample care for their long-term patients and support for children prior to their surgeries.
Surpassing the target of $400,000, an outstanding amount of $415,254 was raised in this year’s Pedal for Kids marathon. We are delighted to have played a part in the success of the event, with a contribution of $71,530 from MTY. Moving forward, we eagerly anticipate continuing our support for the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation and participating in the annual Pedal for Kids bike ride for many more years to come.
